Our modularised courses on general soil science,
soil genesis, soil chemistry and soil distribution are aimed at
landscape planners, environmental engineers, geoscientists, biologists
and agricultural scientists.
The didactic concept of the Bachelor's programmes is based on the causal concept of pedogenesis and function. The causal-analytical understanding of processes is at the forefront of teaching for the natural science courses, while the engineering and planning science courses focus more on application and problem solving.
The Bachelor's and Master's programmes also offer both basic and practical, application-oriented modules. The range of courses offered in the field of soil sciences is extended to the entire field of soil sciences by the soil physics courses of the subject area "Ecohydrology & Landscape Assessment" , so that students can develop very individual profiles, best suited to their abilities and inclinations, within the framework of the respective study regulations. The teachers of the department are happy to advise interested students.
